  • Half a playgroup we attended

That's only the second time she attended a playgroup after we had moved our home.  Occupied by periods of resettlement and sickness, she lost the pace of schooling and lacked the patience and the response during a class.  That's why she was very sleepy and puzzled at the 3-pm session yesterday.  Worst still the thundering on the day before upset her bio-clock a lot.

Troubled by the traffic under the rain, we were late for 5 minutes.  I didn't know the class hadn't really started after the "15-minute warmup" for the kids.  When the instructor came, she could remember most of the kids' names, of course not including Clarice.  Kids were very much used to the rountine rundown of the class.  Clarice grabbed me several time, hinting to me her wish to be carried away for some sleep.  When it came to reading time, Clarice behaved completely different from that at home and she couldn't help yawning for several times.  At 1545, she could no long stand with the class.  No choice seems available to me but to take everything and leave right then.

15 minutes after we left the school, she slept soundly as if she didn't sleep for days...
